जालंधर में प्रसिद्ध बाबा सोढल मेले के मद्देनजर 17 तारीख को सरकारी छुट्टी का ऐलान किया गया है। बाबा सोढल मेले में लोगों की आस्था और सैलाब के चलते यह फैसला लिया गया है। इस दिन शहर में सरकारी कार्यालय, स्कूल, कॉलेज व अन्य सरकारी संस्थान बंद रहेंगे।
बाबा सोढल मेले में लाखों की तदाद में श्रद्धालु पहुंचते हैं और बाबा जी के आगे नतमस्तक होते हैं। वहीं बता दें कि सोढल मेला 3 दिन लगातार मनाया जाता है। मेले के पहले दिन लोगों की भीड़ देखने को मिल जाती है। लोग दूर-दूर से बाबा जी के दर्शन करने आते हैं। बाबा सोढल मेले के चलते जिला प्रशासन, नगर ,निगम, पुलिस, ट्रैफिक विभाग व सेहत विभाग आदि सतर्क रहेंगे।
