जशपुर जिले के नगर पंचायत पत्थलगांव को नगर पालिका बनाने के लिए अधिसूचना जारी कर दी गई है। अधिसूचना जारी होने की सूचना मिलते ही पत्थलगांव में उत्साह का महौल है। क्षेत्रवासी मुख्यमंत्री विष्णु देव साय के प्रति आभार जता रहे हैं।
अधिसूचना के प्रकाशन के साथ ही पत्थलगांव को नगर पालिका बनाने की प्रक्रिया शुरू हो गई है। जारी अधिसूचना के तहत नगर पंचायत पत्थलगांव की सीमाएं ही नगर पालिका की सीमा होगी। इस संबंध में लोगों से 21 दिनों तक इस संबंध में दावा-आपत्ति मांगी गई है। गौरतलब है कि मुख्यमंत्री विष्णु देव साय ने ग्राम किलकिला में आयोजित पूर्व केंद्रीय मंत्री स्वर्गीय कुमार दिलीप सिंह जूदेव की पुण्यतिथि 14 अगस्त 2024 के दिन पत्थलगांव को नगर पंचायत से नगरपालिका बनाने की घोषणा की थी।
