स्कूल शिक्षा विभाग ने सरकारी स्कूलों में शिक्षा में गुणात्मक सुधार के लिये विभिन्न जिलों में पहले चरण में 275 सीएम राईज स्कूल शुरू किये है। इनमें से 125 सीएम राईज स्कूलों में 70 हजार विद्यार्थियों को नि:शुल्क परिवहन सेवा की सुविधा दी जा रही है। नि:शुल्क बस परिवहन सेवा 5 से 20 किलोमीटर के दायरे में स्कूल जाने वाले विद्यार्थियों को दी जा रही है। प्रदेश में संचालित सीएम राईज स्कूलों में पढ़ने वाले विद्यार्थियों को शिक्षा के साथ व्यक्तित्व विकास के लिये वर्ल्ड क्लास सेवायें दी जा रही है।
भोपाल संभाग के 38 सीएम राईज स्कूल के 18 हजार 399, नर्मदापुरम् संभाग के 14 स्कूल के 5 हजार 130, उज्जैन संभाग के 39 स्कूल के 30 हजार 34, इंदौर संभाग के 28 स्कूल के 12 हजार 278 विद्यार्थियों को इस नि:शुल्क बस परिवहन सेवा का लाभ दिया जा रहा है। सिंगरौली जिले के 4 स्कूलों के 2 हजार 876, कटनी के एक स्कूल के 732 और ग्वालियर जिले में डबरा के एक स्कूल के 475 विद्यार्थियों को नि:शुल्क परिवहन सेवा का लाभ मिल रहा है। नि:शुल्क परिवहन सेवा के लिये स्कूल शिक्षा विभाग ने संचालित बसों के लिये प्रायवेट बस ऑपरेटर्स से अनुबंध किया है। संचालित बसों में छात्र-छात्राओं की सुरक्षा के लिये व्यापक इंतजाम भी किये गये हैं।
