महाराष्ट्र राज्य बिजली वितरण कंपनी लिमिटेड (एमएसईडीसीएल) ने ठाणे जिले के कल्याण और टिटवाला कस्बों के आवासीय इलाकों में 1.04 करोड़ रुपये की बिजली चोरी का पता लगाया है।
एक अधिकारी ने यह जानकारी दी।
एमएसईडीसीएल की ओर से जारी एक विज्ञप्ति के अनुसार, कल्याण क्षेत्र के कल्याण (पूर्व) और टिटवाला कस्बों के आवासीय इलाकों में दो दिनों तक अभियान चलाया गया, जिसमें बिजली चोरी का पता चला।
इसमें कहा गया है कि अलग-अलग अवधि में घरेलू उपभोक्ताओं के 368 स्थानों पर 1.04 करोड़ रुपये मूल्य की कम से कम 4,84,000 यूनिट बिजली चोरी हुई।
विज्ञप्ति के मुताबिक, इलाके में घरेलू उपभोक्ताओं पर 98 करोड़ रुपये के बिजली बिल बकाया हैं तथा इस महीने 27,400 बकायेदारों की बिजली आपूर्ति काट दी गई है।
