मनोरंजन जगत से एक बुरी खबर सामने आ रही है। बॉलीवुड और पंजाबी फिल्मों के डायरेक्टर व राइटर रवींद्र पीपट अब इस दुनिया में नहीं रहे। बताया जा रहा है कि वे लंबे सयम से कैंसर से पीड़ित थे और अचानक दिल का दौरा पड़ने से उनका निधन हो गया। रवींद्र के निधन के बाद इंडस्ट्री में शोक की लहर दौड़ गई है।
फिल्म लावा से बॉलीवुड में डेब्यू करने वाले रवींद्र पीपट ने अपने करियर में कई शानदार फिल्मों का डायरेक्शन किया था। उन्होंने डिंपल कपाड़िया से लेकर राज बब्बर, स्मिता पाटिल के साथ तमाम मूवीज बनाई थी। पीपट को फिल्म काश आप हमारे होते, लावा, कैद में है बुलबुल, घर आया परदेसी जैसी फिल्मों के लिए जाना जाता है। इसके अलावा उन्होंने टीवी सीरियल 'वंश' को भी डायरेक्ट किया था।
बॉलीवुड के अलावा रवींद्र पीपट पंजाबी फिल्म इंडस्ट्री में भी काफी फेमस थे। अपनी बोली अपना देस (2009) के साथ पॉलीवुड में कदम रखने वाले डायरेक्टर ने सोनम बाजवा के साथ फिल्म पता नहीं रब्ब कहदेयां रंगन च राजी का भी निर्देशन किया था। उनकी आखिरी निर्देशित फिल्म पंजाब बोल्दा थी।
