एनआईए अदालत ने 2012 के सीपीआई (माओवादी) हथियार और गोला-बारूद जब्ती मामले में दो लोगों प्रफुल्ल मालाकार और अनिल कुमार यादव को 15 साल के कठोर कारावास की सजा सुनाई है। एनआईए के एक अधिकारी के अनुसार, मालाकार पटना का और अनिल गया का रहने वाला है। दोनों दोषियों को शस्त्र अधिनियम की धारा 25(1-एए)/35 के तहत सजा सुनाई गई है।
मामला झारखंड के हजारीबाग का है। पुलिस ने मालाकार को अगस्त 2012 में चौपारण के पास सिलोदर जंगल से गिरफ्तार किया था। वह प्रतिबंधित उग्रवादी संगठन सीपीआई (माओवादी) की हथियार और गोला-बारूद आपूर्ति इकाई का था। उसके पास से एक अमेरिका निर्मित एम-16 राइफल, 14 जिंदा कारतूस, दो मोबाइल फोन और एक बुलेट प्रूफ जैकेट जब्त किया था। आगे की जांच में सीपीआई (माओवादी) के जोनल कमांडर यादव को गिरफ्तार किया गया। वह मालाकार से हथियार खरीदने आया था। पुलिस ने यादव के कब्जे से 9 लाख रुपये नकद, दो मोबाइल फोन, एक 9 मिमी पिस्तौल और दो जिंदा कारतूस जब्त किए थे। एनआईए ने मामले की जांच 17 दिसंबर, 2012 को अपने हाथ में ली थी।
